If it is a must to meet, hold stand up meetings. Meetings where people are sitting comfortably and are served snacks turn out to be longer than needed. Meetings held standing up keep you on topic, are short, and to the point.
Keep a low maintenance plant in your office. Beside bringing livelihood and class to your workplace, live plants are good for mood.
Find your most productive time. Everyone has a certain time of the day in which they are most productive: find that time and use if for your most important tasks.

Clear your head at least every two hours. Step away from your desk or task, eat, exercise or talk to a co-worker. Your brain needs to be cleared in order to become more creative and function better.
